Wackem Sackem Series
Building sculpture; low relief metal interactive kinetic paintings, was something that I fell into and I had to learn how to draw with an angle grinder. My friend Mike Turley was instrumental in creating the kinetics and teaching me how to work with metal. A commissioned mural for the Kelowna Airport grew into a body of sculptures that became the traveling exhibition Wackem Sackem. Pull the hockey stick handle and they punch, slash, save, fly to heaven, poke check, anything but score.
